Report Cards
Both children have received excellent reports. Eilidh has very good throughout the whole report. Murray has a mixture of goods and very goods. Eilidh did thanks me for getting her a very good in Punctuality.
Murray's final statement says:
Murray has settled into school well. He is a lovely, polite and friendly boy to have in class. He is an able child with a good attitude to school and shows a keen interest in all classroom activities. He is conscientious and works independantly on directed tasks. He is sensitive to the needs, views and feelings of others and is well liked by his classmates. He enjoys playing or working with a partner or as part of a small group of friends. It's a pleasure to have Murray in class.
Eilidh's final statement says:
Eilidh is a lovely girl who has a pleasant personality and gets on well with everyone. She has worked hard this year and made excellent progress. She clearly understands the need for rules and has the maturity to seek adult help when required. Eilidh is always willing to tackle tasks independantly, or work with a partner or group. She is confidently able to express a reasoned opinion on important values. Eilidh has been a pleasure to teach. I wish her all the best.
We're not convinced Eilidh's teacher has the right child but it does sound like she will have a new teacher for P4. Murray we still don't know if he will be in a class of 20 or 30 or who his teacher will be.

Childhood Museum, Main Museum and Peter and the Wolf

And Murray found a new big sister. I first thought this statue was real and she kept giving me a fright.
Then we walked up to the Museum in Chamber Street and had a wee look round before Eilidh realised she'd left her hat behind in the Childhood Museum. So we had to walk all the way back and luckily we found it. We then walked back to Chamber street where we met Granny Barnes for the Peter and the Wolf Show. The show was very good and not long at all and the children sat so well, even though it was teatime. It was an easy bedtime last night.Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Eilidh's 8
Eilidh was 8 last Friday. She came charging through at 6,30am and started to open her presents from us in bed. She got a Webkinz from Murray. Books, Pixel chix and an MP3 player from us. Then started moaning that she never got her bike which was actually downstairs. Both children got dressed and it was a brekkie of pancakes before going to school for the Burns Day Assembly.

After school I collected her and 4 friends from school and we headed home for a party. We were joined by family and other close friends. We made our own party bags, (which were smaller than I wanted them to be.) had a gorgeous lunch of sandwiches, Sausage rolls, cocktail sticks, sausages, crisps etc then a huge platter of various home made cakes.
Using a fairy cake we sang happy birthday to the birthday girl.
Then instead of birthday cake we made birthday biscuits with homebaked biscuits, icing sugar and various sweets.
