Eilidh was 8 last Friday. She came charging through at 6,30am and started to open her presents from us in bed. She got a Webkinz from Murray. Books, Pixel chix and an MP3 player from us. Then started moaning that she never got her bike which was actually downstairs. Both children got dressed and it was a brekkie of pancakes before going to school for the Burns Day Assembly.
After school I collected her and 4 friends from school and we headed home for a party. We were joined by family and other close friends. We made our own party bags, (which were smaller than I wanted them to be.) had a gorgeous lunch of sandwiches, Sausage rolls, cocktail sticks, sausages, crisps etc then a huge platter of various home made cakes.
Using a fairy cake we sang happy birthday to the birthday girl.
Then instead of birthday cake we made birthday biscuits with homebaked biscuits, icing sugar and various sweets.
After everyone went home we had some birthday cake. Home baked by mummy.
Then we went out just the 4 of us for a lovely dinner at the Peach Garden.
Over all a lovely day was had a various reports say that it was just the best party ever!
