Eilidh's Finger

Eilidh moved her finger on Christmas Day and urgh it was minging. After a trip to the doctors we discovered she had a wart. We got what i thought was cream but is more like a nail varnish. We soak the hand for 5 minutes in warm water (doesn't help when you get home at 11pm at night and we are all tired!) Then you paint on the ointment, leave it to dry and paint it on again. It then turned it blue which freaked her out big style. This morning it was white which wasn't so bad, but oh dear she is not happy.

Anyway, we had a chill out day today. Hopefully tomorrow we will do something fun ;-)

Christmas Day

Christmas is over. We received lots of lovely gifts. Eilidh got a nintendo ds. She's got a new dog called lucky on there. Murray got a vsmile pocket and has a lot to learn. His idea is that he palm's it off on someone else to win it. Gran C had a go with a few wines and was getting all confused. We spent the morning at Granny and Grandad Barnes's and Mummy and Daddy had Grandad's fantastic stovies.

Then we came home and watched High School Musical while Mummy and daddy did all the food preps.

Gran and Grandad Carlisle arrived and we had a lovely dinner with only one accident. Mummy burnt her hand on a baking tray which should have been cold.

It was a great day and thank you for all our lovely presents.

Murray's GP appointment

I took Murray back to the GP over his eczema on Friday. He is back on the steroid cream, the bath ointment and aqueous. It's sad that we're back to this but he appears to be on the mend after 3 days on the creams which is really good news in my opinion. He's happier about being creamed by doing silly little dances and hopping etc. Here's hoping that we get it under control and no more creams.

We got an Email from Santa

Greetings From the North Pole!

The elves and reindeer are running around like crazy, making sure everything is ready for Christmas Eve!All the running around is helping to keep them warm because we have had some very cold Arctic air come through here lately!

My elves, Chuckles and Buckley, are hard at work again this year. They are watching over all the toy production, list preparations and the reindeer exercise program! The reindeer are also busy eating their Magical Corn! Do you remember what makes the corn magical?

I am pleased to see that you are on the NICE list again this year and we are so proud of you! Don?t forget to stay on the NICE list by being kind with your family, friends and teachers.

Have you guessed the secret ingredient in the reindeer?s magical corn? It is LOVE! The reindeer enjoy their magical corn, but it is the love that keeps them going!

Stay happy and safe and don?t forget to share the magical love that comes from the heart!

Love, Santa Claus

In the Wars

Last week Eilidh slipped while climbing (the story keeps changing everytime she tells it) and bruised her chin/cheek. Then last night at a party got tripped up and got carpet burns on her leg and arm. Then tonight when we were out she banged her face above the current bruise and has a new mark. Social Services will probably be round in the morning ;-)

Murray has been trying his hardest to get himself a bruise but I think the severe eczema on the backs of his legs are bad enough. Off to the GP tomorrow to see about getting back on the steroid cream.

Eilidh's Nativity

It was Eilidh's Nativity today. She was in the choir due to her being an angel last year.

Over lunch someone fell poorly and they were a Narrator. So Eilidh offered to cover him and with 30 minutes notice she stepped up and did a great job of being a narrator. Was so proud of her doing so well with such short notice. Got a right lump in my throat.

It's Grandma Watson's birthday too. Mummy and daddy are popping up to see her. Bet she loves her presents.

More Christmas Decs

Eilidh made her ones too.

Christmas Decs

Murray's made some salt dough decorations. He likes yellow!

Eilidh's School Project

Eilidh is doing a project at school called Houses and Homes. She had to present a schedule of our house. So this is the picture which Mummy took to allow her to put it in her schedule.

Eilidh and Murray's Blog

Decided to start a blog for the children as so many people have said that they are having difficulty with the website. This means we can keep both working and lots more people can view and comment here with no problems.

So today was a busy day. Mummy got up early cos of daddy's snoring. She went to tesco dead early. Eilidh didn't even know she'd been out and back again. Then she lay in the bath all morning.

Eilidh went to dancing while mummy and daddy took Murray to next. He eventually chose an outfit for his parties. But what a boy. He's worse than Eilidh who went shopping later and chose her outfit in minutes.

We've been busy with crafts. Planned to get the christmas decs etc up but we had the problem that the house hasb't finished the decluttering. Also where the plan was to put the tree fell flat on it's face when mummy realised that there were no plug sockets there. We've started the christmas cards and some surprises that people may see in their cards when they are delivered.

The day's flown past again. At this rate we'll be having Christmas 10 days late ;-/
